    Before starting to research prices and brands, you need to look for some very important data, such as:

    types of existing models;

    optimal power of the device,

    equipment power consumption;

    air-conditioning installation site;

    length and width of space available for installation,

    several electronic devices your network supports.

    Next, understand each of them more.

    1. Ideal Air Conditioning Model For You

    Currently, there are several models of air conditioning like air conditioning Ipswich for example. However, the most chosen for residences are usually: the window ones, the laptops, and the Splits. After knowing these models, it will be easier to know which device to buy for your home.

    Window models have the rear on the outside of the environment. This technology is more traditional than the others. As a result, it is common for this type of device to generate more noise and consume more energy. On the other hand, it offers different voltages and requires fewer modifications to the structure of your home to install.

    Portable ones, on the other hand, do not need installation; you can use the same device in several different rooms, transporting it through its wheels. They are usually silent and must be close to windows to connect their extension tube to exchange air between the internal and external environment.

    Split models are divided into two units: an internal one, called the evaporator, and an external one, called the condenser. They have newer technologies, being very economical and silent since the condenser is always installed in an open place.

    1. Power: How To Calculate Btus?

    Performing the calculation of BTUs is paramount when buying an air conditioner. If you choose the wrong power, the device may not acclimate to the environment properly. On the other hand, exaggerating the number of BTUs may result in greater energy expenditure than necessary. To calculate BTUs, you need to follow these rules:

    Each square meter of the room is equivalent to 600 BTUs;

    Each additional person equals 600 BTUs (the first person is not counted);

    Each piece of electronic equipment that emits heat, such as a computer, is also equivalent to 600 BTUs;

    If the room is continuously exposed to the sun, the calculation must be made with 800 BTUs for all the previous situations.

    Example: a 25 m² room, which is not directly exposed to the sun, with a computer that two people will use, will need an air conditioner of 16,200 BTUs.

    Calculation data:

    25 (m²) x 600 (BTU) = 15.000 BTUs

    600 (BTUs – for one person, excluding the first person)

    600 (BTUs – one computer)

    You can use our BTU calculator to do this calculation quickly to make it easier. Also, read the post made exclusively on the subject.

    1. Energy Consumption

    Another factor you need to consider when buying an air conditioner is the device’s energy consumption. Some models tend to consume more than others, making you feel this reflected in your electricity bill.

    So, before opting for a particular model, research its energy consumption and efficiency. One of the best technologies when it comes to economics is Inverter.
